Agreed with everything on this show. TDawg on the first few seasons of The Walking Dead was so bad, that even white people wrote blogs about how embarrassing he was. When your character forces white people to break the code, you know you are in bad shape.

I used to collect comics back in the day. Those things are 110% propaganda. Now that comics get translated into movies distributed globally, you get an even bigger push for white supremacy. The other ethnic groups, like Indians, Chinese and Japanese have their own domestic heroes so there is a balance. Black people have what, the Mantis?

Hollywood loves the story of one white man being all that stands in the way of humanity's destruction. The Matrix Lord Of the Rings. Harry Potter. The Bond series. The Bourne series. All of the DC and Marvel movies. All feature one white man as THE buffer between humanity and destruction. It is the same propaganda over and over again. All of the movies today feature a white male hero 99% of the time. And white people love these period pieces because they don't have to feature any blacks. See series like Vikings and Spartacus.

That is why white boys lose their minds when you add one black character who has dignity. Star Trek had a black Vulcan named Tuvak. White boys who could accept FTL travel, wormholes, time travel, aliens, universal translators, etc., had a deep problem with a black Vulcan. Like, how did that happen!

And the funny thing, most of those white movies are boring. The last movie I saw that was worth anything was Gravity. And that was for the special effects in 3D. All of the other movies have the same cornball storyline. Black people need to stop being so desperate to be in some white man's recycled dream.

I rarely go to the movies and am going to trash the non-valuable items in my comic collection. No sense in allocating space to a white man's propaganda.

Well said brotha.....you are so right. We can have our own heros. We don't need to be accepted by White Society. We can stand on our two feet. Let's improve our own situation. Black people..most of them are strength.

@Ceasar

I tell you. Black people are always the last group to catch on. American pop culture is nothing but propaganda. Blade I and II with Wesley Snipes and that Alien V Predator movie with Sanaa Lathan are the only movies I can think of off the top that starred black characters who were strong and smart. I watched AVP from beginning to end and couldn't believe it starred a black woman. Halle Berry for all of her bedwenching never had a role like that

I know that new Star Wars has a black actor but from what I've read, the white woman is the real star. I could be wrong though. And what if that brother gets killed in the first one? Then that means he is not in the sequels that you know are coming down the line.

Again, the question for black people should be...why spend money on people who despise you? See that is why I respect Bruce Lee big time. That man preferred to go to his people and own an entire market instead of begging to play the sidekick in American movies,
Now if you look at the Hong Kong studios, they produce better movies than the Americans if you compare dollar to dollar. They will give you more entertainment for 10% of the budget.

Tommy Crispy Coon is a sad human being. Having out of wedlock children all over the place and being a deadbeat, conning people out of their money, and now cooning on Youtube for views. I'm not surprised his family turned against him. There are some people who just aren't good people, and Tommy is an example of that type of person.

As far as Star Wars go... yeah, it's nice that the movie will star a black male lead. But then the question is: How long does he last until he is killed off. Does he die in the middle of the movie? The end of the movie? or during one of the sequels, since this movie is supposed to start another trilogy. That the problem with depending on white people to represent black characters in films. They have the power to do what they want with them. And I stopped watching The Walking Dead because of how pathetic they make all the black males on that show. And the Asian male is due to die at any moment. The cute dark skinned black female will survive, because in the comics she livies and forms a romance the main white character.

I don't follow. Why doesn't the same wasting time logic about the coming out show not apply to the whole crispy ordeal. Like why are u interviewing his brother. I guess its a ego trip.

And was this show a result of a slow game/news day or nah? Like really, c'mon Tariq todays show was slacking on the substance and dare i say reaching. I know u are above reproach and/or unfailable. In one breath u say build your own but in the next you sit back and criticize the white supremacist for being what they are... WHITE SUPREMACIST... DUH.. An elephant is heavy.. Water is wet.. Let me guess.. The purchase of the flex step boots would be the cure all. lol

Yeah I'm not exactly sure what your point is. How does black people building their own economy and criticizing white supremacy relate? They're 2 separate issues but both need to be addressed. Yeah, we do criticize white supremacy. Because you'd better fucking believe that they will criticize you for anything that involves empowerment. I get comments from white people all the time saying that black people building their own schools, malls, movie theaters etc, is racist. Anyways, if you have beef with tariq, at least bring up a specific point to debate. Because at this point, you just look like a white troll to me. And if you're black....well shit, I really don't know what to say. Read a book or something.

I am not interested in agreeing with Tariq 100%. Black people have plenty of petty arguments and differences with nothing to show for it.
I guess plantation living is better for some of us than confronting white supremacy. But when that brother is right, Tariq gets that bulls-eye dead center. So instead of dead end disagreements, let's agree on not getting beat down by white supremacy. Then everyone can do his or her own thing otherwise.

Check out this article from the Washington Post about that mother, silky weave and all, from the Baltimore riots:

What happened to the ‘Hero Mom’ of Baltimore’s riots?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/social-issues/what-happened-to-the-hero-mom-of-baltimores-riots/2015/10/22/b4cde044-7754-11e5-b9c1-f03c48c96ac2_story.html?tid=pm_local_pop_b

That same paper has this article:

Black Lives Matter should also take on ‘black-on-black crime’

https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2015/10/22/black-lives-matter-should-also-take-on-black-on-black-crime/

Keep in mind the Washington Post is considered a liberal newspaper when compared to say the Washington Times.

But the Washington Post like all large media outlets know how to use and discard black people.

I always say if that Baltimore mother was worth anything, her son would have never been out there in the first place.

Black people need to stop being used and discarded by white media outlets. It is a damned shame.

You may have a point on this. I do not necessarily agree with everything brother tariq says, but when it comes to this white supremacy shit,i agree 1000 percent! This ongoing beef with him and sotomayor should stop on the real tip. It is getting to be a little childish on both ends. I personally know how that shit can be so i have learned not to hold grudges against my own, unless my life was threatened.getting on the topic of us not being around in the future in these scifi pics, go and listen to the late, great richard pryor's 1976 comedy album,"bicentennial n----r". There is a part in there where he was talking about a movie that came out that year called logan's run, which was also about the future. Basically, he observed that there were no "n----rs anywhere in the movie and that that these pale ones made sure that we would not be around in the future. You have to hear him say it;it sounds better coming from him. Peace.

With respect to Tariq and the beef he has with fraudulent america.
fraudulent america still has not released a documentary. otherwise I don't care about this "beef" either way. My guess is something dirty happened behind the scenes and this is a retaliation.

I listen to the podcast. I watch the UStream AFTER it has been recorded. When Tariq has a bad caller(often) or is speaking on something I do not care for(rarely), I skip through that portion.

I hope this is not a realistic issue for the audience because it will show how easily we are distracted. If you listen to Bill O'reilly, you know that some of his views differ from hardcore christian conservative white supremacists. No matter. They know how to tune out and tune when O'reilly is going in on black people. They tune in for the racism and zone out on the rest.

I don't see why his beef with the fraud should relate to anything else. The dude says he is not trying to be a leader of any sort. So focus on the relevant and trim away the rest.

I generally don't care for the beef and am a bit disappointed that Tariq didn't stop it after an apology was issued.

That said, I DO NOT respect dead-beat dads and DO NOT respect hypocrites. Wish I could say I lost respect for Tommy, but I never had any to begin with.

Good show!

I agree with Tariq on The Walking Dead thing. I've actually been talking to people about this last week after the last episode... Every black guy on that show is pussified!

They are all docile, T-Dawg sucked, Noah sucked, the Priest is a joke, Tyrese was a glorified 200 lb offensive lineman of a Nanny, and this Morgan guy is some kind of moral magic negro. -_- Michonne seems to be the only one who's kicking ass, but she's a woman so maybe there's a different set of rules (?)

Also: To play the Devil's advocate. I am Legend is a movie that contradicts Tariq's point. Will Smith was the only man alive in a post-apocalyptic society, he was a scientist and the movie's hero and white people actually like that movie.

I skimmed the graphic novel for Walking Dead. I think the lead guy, the former sheriff starts banging Michonne at a certain point,
if he hasn't already in the series. At that point, she becomes like that lead character from Scandal:
a black character who gets a lot of respect for handling business,
but is realistically a side piece for a white man. The Bed Wench role.

See the thing is, the fact that you can count Will Smith's role does not contradict the original point. The fact you can count it is a tragedy.
That tells you every other post-Apocalyptic movie features a white as the lead and damn near zero blacks.
I get the point you are making but the white supremacist architecture is a lot more sophisticated.
You got to let one negro in at a time. Otherwise, what you are doing becomes to obvious.

I had this same debate with a black feminist recently.
I heard Marvel might do a female-driven movie based on a character called Captain Marvel.
There is a black woman and a white woman who used the name Captain Marvel.
The black feminist was excited at the remote possibility that Marvel might use the black woman.
I felt sad that even a tender caress from white supremacy got her that excited.

For example, Star Trek had a black captain on Deep Space 9. To trekkies though, that series might as well not even exist.
I thought the character, Sisko, was a better captain than Picard by far. He had to deal with more complex issues.

I saw I Am Legend in the theaters. I remember white people being upset about it because it deviated so much from the novels.
And white people are giving Will Smith hell now for his role in that Suicide Squad movie.

Not to get petty or anything like that. I get your original point.
But damn if it isn't depressing when we can count on a few fingers the counterexamples.
that is not a success. That is a failure.

Black women are getting that wake up call. See what they did with J.E.M. and the Holograms movie.
In the cartoon, one of the characters was clearly black. No guessing involved.
Now that character in the live-action movie could pass for white. So no one is exempt.
They neuter the black male characters,
oversex the dark-skinned black females and white wash the other black females with lighter skinned counterparts.

@Mr. Jon
Did you see that scifi movie Enders Game?
I read the book in university. It was pretty good.

There was one scene in that film that made my blood run cold.
The book is a lot more nuanced in that the main character is less of a savior and more a good leader with a strong support team. Think of Neo in the first Matrix. But I digress.

Here is the scene. A bunch of elite kids get selected to support Ender in his mission.
At one point Ender says to the lone black kid:
"One day you too will command your own team"

The black kid says in response: "Not me. That will never happen"

This is not verbatim but that was the basis of the exchange. I don't remember that line from the book and I did not spend much time worrying why the writers put that line in there. It seemed really weird and out of the flow, to hear this black kid say he will never be the leader of his own mission. And he was chosen as part of the elite.

White women get movies like Gravity and the Hunger Games. Black women get Scandal, weave yanking reality shows and servant roles.

The technology is there for us to do other things other than follow this dead end.

That's the biggest flaw of the Walking Dead. It's situated in Atlanta and it still has black folks in a subservient role... if the playing field was leveled due to an apocalypse, you would not see white folks still barking out orders, LOL. I mean damn, white folks can barely handle a hot day in the sun.
