White History Month. Good idea.

Read the sample of the Peoples History of the United States book or check out a sample of the audiobook and consider buying or checking it out at the library. It well documented with footnotes and shows how Christopher Columbus was a terrible person and a serial killer, among other things.

The black Sanders fans all say the same thing, that they are afraid of the consequences if a Republican gets the presidency. Meanwhile, they refuse to get any guarantees from the Sanders campaign. So acting out of fear is an accurate description.

The analogy of black people as a cheap date is fitting. Black people are so desperate for white people to love them that any sign of affection is welcome.

When these white people start coming for the black entertainers, then you know it is about to go down. That attack is what brought the beast out in MJ. Black entertainers biting the hand that feeds them is telling. Back in the day, black entertainers would speak out on injustice. Now that the white crowd is turning on them, it may come around again.

50 Cent is bankrupt, comparing his creditor situation to slavery.
Kanye says he is broke, begging jews for money.
Rick Ross was under house arrest, begging a judge so he can travel and do a concert.

All of these idols, propped up by a white fanbase, they are all proven hollow.

As an aside, I used to be indifferent to Kanye and the Kardashian thing but now I think that family really sucked the life force out of that man. I bet Kim has more money than he does.

I love Tariq and all..

1) BUT HE IS DEAD ASS wrong on the not voting thing. He is wrong to the 10th degree... Although voting does not bring the massive changes we all want, opting-out is a very BAD MOVE. I'm not telling you to vote if you stay at your mama's house, don't have a job and etc. Nor am I telling you to vote because we might get reparations. BUT not voting will completely enable politicians to mistreats blacks EVEN MORE than they do now.. I know things are bad now but YES they can and could get worse if we choose to check out.

2) Sanders is a really good choice for us even if HE chooses not to support reparations. A) The mere fact that Sanders even answered a question on reparation is an example of how Sanders is best for the black community. No other candidate will even consider taking a question on reparations must less answering it. B) Presidents, even if they don't pass a single bit of legislation, control so much of government actions through appointments alone. I much RATHER have Sanders pick the next SUPREME COURT JUDGE than Trump or Hillary Clinton.

I could give a much in-depth answer to why #DONTVOTE is completely wrong and why Sanders is actually a good choice for blacks but I will respond to any comments.

Bruh, you lost me. Again, the strategy from black Sanders supports is vote and then hope. We tried that with Obama. Eight recent years of a failed strategy should have been our lesson. You want us to repeat another failed Obama strategy.

Eric Garner was killed in De Blasio's NYC.
Laquan McDonald was killed in Emanuel's Chicago.
How exactly did having two elected democratic mayors keep the race soldiers from killing black people? Democrat O'Malley in Baltimore did not cause the poor conditions there, but he kept the cops in place who made it worse.

Politicians are completely enabled to appoint police chiefs who are enabled to encourage the race soldiers who put our communities under siege.

That is a cheap date by definition. All Sanders has to do is answer a question to prove he is better for the black community? Jews get money in the form of Holocaust reparations. Latinos get executive orders on immigration. Gays get anti-discrimination legislation at the federal level, like the lack of enforcement of DOMA and DADT. Black people get a question answered.
Whoopdee whoop. Yup, we slide those panties down real quick for a stale french fry.

Sanders taking on a question on reparations means nothing. A policy on reparations enforced by funds and legislation means something. Black people are not Sander's' target demographic once he actually gets into office. Just like Hillary, he just needs the bodies in the booths.

What does the above have to do with Sanders or even PREVENTING things from getting worse for the ENTIRE black community? Second why even blame Garner's, or McDonald's death on any one politician.. We live in a system of white supremacy. Most police departments are racist despite whomever the mayor maybe or party affiliation.

I even suspect that America will still practice white supremacy with Sanders at the wheel but at least HE put in WORK and has PROVEN that he will LISTEN to our concerns.. more so than Clinton.

Yes, we deserve reparations but unfortunately that isn't on any candidate's agenda for now.. Sadly I don't think it will be until we create the organizations demand it, but that is something for another day.

Either Clinton, Sanders or Trump will be president. We have to deal with the cards we are dealt and pouting because no one is promising reparations will not benefit us in the end.

Of the three options, Sanders is the clear best for the black community followed by Trump (at least he will fuck everyone up equally).

Some of my favorite black people are Sanders supporters.
But damned if any one of them can say anything better than:

"Sanders is better than a republican."

Ok, dude tell me specifically how things will get better for blacks as a group when Sanders is in office?

Ok, how will the systematic imprisonment of black people be stopped?

Ok, what about the lack of investment in infrastructure for black neighborhoods?

Ok, what about compensation for the systematic targeting of black people at the state and federal levels?

Believe me, when Giuliani went into the Jewish enclaves in NYC and got the endorsement for mayor by major Jewish groups, those groups had something in writing as to what to expect once Giuliani gained office. Same with Bloomberg. Same with De Blasio.

Black people?

I know it hurts our feelings that no one cares about us but giving it up with nothing in return just means we will keep getting our feelings hurt.

The groups to which you refer don't need anything in writing b/c they have lobbies. The candidate who gets their endorsement has been bought and paid for and until we stop BEGGING and start paying the piper we will continue to get the short end of the stick!

We are in agreement. About 2 years ago, some line went into a piece of legislation. I don't remember if it was the Senate or the House.
Anyway, the controversy came up because it got leaked that this line was in the legislation. The thing is NO ONE would cop to where that line came from or who wrote it. Everyone involved pleaded ignorance. Literally, someone snuck something in. That person got paid to write a law.

So yes, you are right that someone gets bought out and then writes the laws they were paid to write. I guess a check cleared and that line got written into the legislation.

On some real talk, I always found Johnnie Cochran's death shadier than a mother. When he passed, I kept thinking what the hell happened? Who did this to him?

White people are mad at OJ getting acquitted because he had the resources to get competent lawyers. Meanwhile, plenty of black men get railroaded into long prison sentences due to inadequate representation. I was at an academic institution that was mostly white when the OJ verdict came out. I have never been in the presence of that many visibly, angry white people in my life.
Those white boys were fired up. My supervisor at the time was an old white woman. She got so mad she went into her office slammed the door and did not come back out.

Meanwhile, y'all look up the more recent Robert Blake case. That actor had more evidence against him than OJ. Robert Blake was actually at the scene when his wife was killed. Witnesses in the restaurant contradicted Blakes testimony. Yet, Blake got acquitted and was left alone to live on a friend's ranch. White people left that white boy alone. Meanwhile, OJ gets hounded back into prison.

Again, Robert Blake had more evidence against, got acquitted and was left alone by white people. That affluenza white boy had to wreck himself. He killed like 4 people and was left alone to party until he was too blatant.

Yeah, I remember the Robert Blake acquittal. It was interesting that there was virtually no OJ hate cast his way and no outcry of injustice.

The silence was also deafening when Phil Spector's first murder trial ended in a hung jury. His conviction in the second trial also slipped by with little fanfare. People have said it was because he was only a record producer. I call BS on that. Had he been a black producer, he would have been demonized as the second OJ.

White people will never get over OJ. I remember listening to talk radio a few hours after the terrorist attacks on 9/11. And even during that dark day of national crisis, people were still calling into the station complaining about OJ.

I sometimes wonder how thoroughly white celebrities are investigated. One case in point is Natalie Woods' drowning. The skipper of the boat stated that Natalie disappeared shortly after she argued with her husband, actor Robert Wagner. Police believed that she simply "fell overboard" and drowned. Natalie's sister found that hard to believe.

There are also those who say there was more to the story behind William Shatner's wife's death. (This occurred a few years after the OJ case) He claimed to have found her drowned in their swimming pool. They were having marital problems and she was possibly considering divorce.

Jerry Lee Lewis' fourth wife died under suspicious/mysterious circumstances. In 1980 his estranged fourth wife, Jaren, took him to court, accusing him of threatening her life. Later, while awaiting a final divorce decree, she was also found drowned in a swimming pool.

Yeah, generations of black men going to jail could not satisfy white supremacist bloodlust. OJ had to go in. When OJ passes, his grave will need to be unmarked or something to keep all of the white freaks from digging him up and desecrating the body. White people are weird like that. They get mad at OJ and are stone silent when a black man gets released from jail from a crime he did not commit.

Man, I didn't know about the Shatner and Lewis cases. Lewis was also a pedophile. I think he married his 13 year old cousin. That Natalie Wood case comes up periodically on the tabloid covers.
That whole Hollywood crowd of white men is creepy to me.

I saw a documentary on Drew Peterson. I asked myself how many wives does a white man have to kill before the law comes for him.
Peterson and his lawyers had no doubts as to an acquittal. It was wild watching that footage.

Actually, both Lewis' 4th and 5th wives died under rather suspicious circumstances.

While it is true that Lewis was a pedo, it is ridiculous that Elvis escaped the pedophile label. He moved Priscilla into Graceland when she was only 14 years old.

The media barely covered Shatner's wife's death. I've read that there were also bruises on her body.

The Drew Peterson case was crazy indeed. It was the biggest news story for a while. He became a celebrity in a way. There was even talk about him starring in a reality show. But when he was finally arraigned on murder charges, the circus ended and the media stopped covering it virtually overnight.

Man, there was this sick fiend in Canada, named Robert Pickton.
That was a real life horror story. But funny enough, white people can't name him. If you read on how he got caught, it was like the police did not want to catch him, despite the number of women, almost 50 he had killed.

Gary Ridgway was another one that white people can't name. But they all remember OJ. Ridgway could be released today and walk down the street with no problem.

I am not making excuses for black killers or whatever. But most black violent crimes, if not economically based, is at least limited in scope or based on mental illness. These white serial killers are almost matter of fact about their proficiency. And they will tell you up front that they are sane, like that old man out on Colorado.

And following that Dr. Luke and Kesha story, which is fairly recent, you don't see any of the animosity toward Luke that Cosby got for 50 year old allegations.

White surpemacy creates some sick people. To stay on topic, every day on white history month should be focused on a different white mass murderer or serial killer. Not even the obvious ones like Hitler and Stalin but the ones who only historians know.

I'm from Vancouver and remember the Robert Pickton case. He actually killed over 200 women and would have got convicted of all of them, but the prosecution decided to quit while they were ahead to avoid jeopardizing the case.

A lot of people don't know that most of his victims were women of color who came from the same neighborhood. Over 100 of them had been reported missing for years, but the police refused to investigate. They eventually found their bones by accident when they raided Pickton's house on an unrelated firearms charge.

Yes, white supremacy and police race soldiers are not unique to America.

Oh yes. White supremacy by definition is not restricted by geography. I have a lot of relatives in Canada and some of the stories they told me were a wake up call. The PQ and the failed separation referendum. That nonsense with Micael Jean.

The wrath of the white supremacists there seem to have fallen mostly heavily on the Native people. People in the states claim Native like it is cute but up there it seems to be even more real.

Many of those 100 women were Native American. Practically all of them were drug addicted prostitutes. That's why there wasn't such a big outcry. Also, Canada has tendency to cover up and soft soap its crime stats. Police encourage the media to ignore certain crimes all the time.

You are dead on about the oppression of Native Americans in Canada. That's who you are most likely to find in Canadian hoods, especially the notorious Downtown Eastside. White people even use the same one drop rule there that America uses on Black people in the United States.

If black people are voting scared with no agenda, no lobby and no negotiation, then the Democrats can run a sock puppet with dreadlocks and a kufi. Black people would still vote for it, out of fear instead of out of a long-term strategy.

That really is my issue. Not necessarily with Sanders. Or even Clinton. No matter who runs, black people have no plan for the results. I am not voting for any of the names at a federal level come fall. I'll just focus on the local city council and mayor. At least I have a vague chance of talking to those people directly.
