Though Idunno about the latter part of this episode :-/ , Tariq is definitely on point with his Luke Cage assessment. Not only are they threatened to see non-stereotypical blacks, but they also resent the fact that Luke is an attractive black man banging (Jessica Jones) an attractive white girl. White guys don't want their girls getting any "swirling" ideas. I kinda thought the "don't call me nigga," line was borderline respectability politics.

Also. Tariq says we need alternate media routes, but isn't Netflix still the dominant society?

Yes and no. Bro, at this stage everything is run by the dominant society.
Netflix runs on a cloud over a content distribution network.
The same vendor that sells to Netflix will also sell to you.
I think they are running on Amazon's system.
Tariq made the point that Amazon is honest compared to the NYT when it comes to sales because all of Amazon's calculations are done by computers. The NYT editorializes it bestseller lists.
The same principle applies to what Netflix is doing. You can put your content up on the same machines Netflix uses and get comparable rates. Your rates get better as your distribution goes up because your costs do not rise as fast. Machines provision those connections so they are designed to be optimal, not racist. It is hard for even the most demonic racist to program a racist computer because there is no scientific basis for race. That is why I don't listen to any non-Black on anything separate from the STEM skills.

I think Marvel did justice by Luke Cage because Black people legitimately have the option of saying screw you to the major networks and putting their content on the cdns like Amazon. If Black people start producing content in sufficient numbers, it is a wrap. If Tariq self-produced his book, imagine Black people self-producing and distribution their own content. You don't even need to be a millionaire off the break. Just break even.

The point is Black people have options. The question is will we act on them. If that orange muppet gets elected, Black people may see another renaissance because no amount of selling out is going to cut it.

I know you are always talking about technology, I have to cosign this.

A (slight) bit of a digression, but similar to what we're talking about, we need to take advantage of these new avenues that exist!

This is the age of cutting the middle man. You can use task rabbit now or Uber and become your own boss, run your own bed & breakfast no more having to wait hand and foot on W.S. giving you a job and pushing you around.

I love how Uber is karma for all of the racist taxi drivers who didn't pick up blacks.

I use one of these sites for clients and we basically move away from the site and conduct business personally, and I keep all of my proceeds.

There are countless apps we can create. I know Tariq created Moorus, but nothing was stopping a young programming brother from developing something like this himself.

Take advantage of what we have.

Sports players see their career as the end goal. That's the problem. Sports players should see their careers as the bridge to an empire.

Teach black kids that a sports career is not the end goal, it's how you leverage that career to save the world from racism, animal abuse, etc.

The parents (often single mothers) aren't instilling that kind of ideology. This is why Dr. Umar's (or Dr. Boyce) school is needed.

Anyways, I have a reason to believe sports is on the decline. These up and coming athletics are consumed/distracted/obsessed with social media. Instead playing sports to be the best, they are trying to impress females and score the drawgs.

Okay, here is what bothers me about the Nate Parker rape fiasco.

What does a black man have to do to be cleared by the public? (Aside from the girl herself admitting to lying?)

Many of my online friends who are about activism are on the anti-Nate bandwagon. These people are about black matters, but they're the types who will turn on Bill Cosby for example. Even within our circles the word of a white girl is still held above anything else.

I am for women's empowerment but I will never be on the "a woman's rape allegation is sufficient proof."

Too many brothers hanged and towns destroyed because a white supremacist female felt like telling a fib.

Now if these people committed rape they deserve any punishment they get, black or not... but if an all-white jury cleared Nate what else is he to do?

If an allegation is the same as a conviction to these people what was the point of going to trial?

Notice that these damned white feminists are on Nate Parker about a 17 year stale acquittal but they are very quiet on the Johnny Depp beating allegations even though Amber Heard has video of him acting up. White feminists have always been the enemy of the Black, especially the Black man as the white female is a proxy agent for the white male.

The thing about white people, even our white liberal allies, is that they always want Black people in a place of subservience, and that means apologizing all the damn time. Notice how Michel'le got her biopic right around the time Dre was getting his shine from Straight Out of Compton. And Dre got set up by a white supremacist. They won't let up unless Dre walks into a jail cell and locks himself in, even without a trial. Chris Brown has been in a position of submission. Michael Vick kept having to apologize to PETA. It never ends for Black men. I would just tell those white feminists to fall of a cliff.

Nate Parker's case is enteral (personal) for many people because they experienced the same matter and or have some sort of guilt (baggage).

It should be expected for white people to undermine our progress. However, I almost want to dismiss blacks because they are often cooning for crums.

I hate when these lapdogs for white feminists confuse issues.A Black man deciding as an individual to date at a particular standard is completely different from a white male supremacist power structure that excludes women based on gender. When a Black woman is SYSTEMATICALLY denied a corporate or academic promotion, that denial is coming from a white, usually a white male.
Black feminists are powerless to attack white males, so they accept crumbs from their white feminists masters to attack Black men. Meanwhile, the prisons are filled with Black males and a Black male can be killed by the system live on camera with no consequences. It is a damned shame.

I tell brothers all the time. Get your economy, physique and intelligence up so you never become a victim to a slut walk.

As an aside, sluts can't be shamed. And most men love sluts. We just don't want to marry one.

It appears as if many white feminist issues have little to do with the system and more to do with

"accept anything about me b/c I ain't changing."

If a guy doesn't want to be with a slut, that's his DECISION! These same women will scream "my body my choice!" at the top of their lungs to protect their right to give their baby fetal alcohol syndrome. Yet make it seem like men are obligated to like women who are loose, unattractive, etc.

So far being a slut is legal, it has no systemic repercussions, priorities.

Yeah man. I hate people who make this false equivalency between an individual choice and systematic discrimination.

I don't give a damn about a individual who dislikes me personally. I just get angry at the deprivation of resources. For example, I don't date fat chicks. But I would never deprive a fat chick of employment, education, health care, etc. If someone else wants to date a fat chick, I won't player hate.

The problem Black people have is not that people don't like us.
We have a problem that people put in systems to starve at all of these levels.

The funny thing about what Tariq mentioned about Amber Rose's family is that this happens with a lot of non-Blacks. I know plenty of non-Blacks with jacked up, disgusting families. I met this non-Black from Mississippi. She told me she could not wait to move out of her white town to a big city. She dropped her accent and everything to fit in.

Peep game family. Earlier this year, that dirt bag Bill Clinton, in response to the mass incarceration of Black males during his presidency and his wife's super predator comments said that the BLACK PASTORS in the inner city were begging him to do something in the 1990s so he had to do something, such as putting Black men in jail.

A while back, these dirty white feminists started that street harassment campaign. Then all that video of unarmed Black men being violated hit the Internet and they had to back off for a little bit.
White supremacists never take an extended break. So now the white feminists dig up some Black sock puppet like Amber Rose.
Amber can say whatever she wants but the system treats her more Black than white. If I have enough weapons and money I can call myself whatever I want. If white people accepted light-skinned Blacks like that you wouldn't have the tragic mullato.

Anyway, when they start putting in more laws to arrest Black men for looking at a white woman, they, the white supremacists will say that BLACK WOMEN begged them to do something about street harassment. The last phase they used the Black preacher. This phase they will use the Black woman. That is why you see any Black woman willing to dog Black men get shine in the mainstream media. So when Black men protest, the white supremacists will point to the Black woman and say, hey we were just trying to help her.

These white people are going to use the same playbook as long as they can score.

How can we put all these pwns on an isolated island so that they stop hurting black children and their fellow black women who have sense? How can we physically or proverbially isolate them? They have gathering and conventions physically and digitally. They are the bulls and we need a red cape. They are the arrows and we need a straw-man.

You don't do anything to them. Or with them.
That is the point. Black people are trained to invest energy in other Blacks who have no ambition.
Leave the pawns alone so that their white daddy can handle them.
Keep them separate from what you are doing when you are productive.
The pawns are there to suck up the energy and resources.
I sidestep them and keep it moving. Good luck to you if you want to spend your time and energy trying to deal with them.
