I knew that documentary on VH1 was a fraud. Russell Simmons, Joseph Simmons, NAS, and the rest of them talking that HIP HOP IS ABOUT UNITY AND COMING TOGETHER, is control by WHITE DADDY. How many BLACK RECORD COMPANIES still exist in the Music Business run by White Daddy? How many Black Artist are selling records in the MILLIONS like Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, and Eminem? How many Black Artist could speak there minds on certain issues and still sell a MILLION RECORDS? Hip Hop in the 80s and 90s was about REAL ISSUES when it came to POLICE beating black people up, unemployment in the Black Community at an all time high, Crack taking over the 80s, schools in the black community being closed down, feeling Hopeless in a country where WHITES gets more treatment than Black People, that's what made HIP HOP the shit in the 80s and 90s. Today's HIP HOP, is all about selling the fuck out to WHITE DADDY and living that HOLLYWOOD lifestyle with the BLING and LOVE AND HIP HOP bitches. Nobody cares about REAL ISSUES anymore. And I thank Tariq Nasheed for speaking the truth when one of them in the documentary said HIP HOP ELECTED BARACK OBAMA. The Powers That Be with the MONEY, elected BARACK OBAMA. They decided who's going to be POTUS. Not the Black Vote.

A lot of us who are not from the african american community and listen to your show for game, male empowerment and wisdom feel rather left out when you address people of your community. Great work. Love and Respect.

I don't understand. Do you expect him not to talk to black people about issues in our community? How would you prefer him hand the task of informing his people and still giving game information?

There are ENTIRE channels, networks on cable dedicated to making caucasian men, latino men, indian men, etc feel great about themselves. you can watch one of those and feel plenty empowered. Tariq is one of a small set of black men who are dropping the scalding fire of knowledge, helping black men understand a system that is at best, passively trying to kill us. He is teaching black men on how to most efficiently and effectively deal with women. Right now, 99% of the blockbuster action movies feature white males saving the world, saving some white woman, saving some blacks etc. Do you think black men might feel "left out" of that cheerleader section? If you are white, I guess you will be alright, at least with respect to police brutality.

Preach brotha! And why did they not interview some grassroots and political artist like dead prez, immortal technique, seigon or even more known conscious groups like Public Enemy, XClan, Brand Nubian? That documentary had payola written all over it. Mr Charlie's got so many black people in his back pocket his pants are bustin at the seams. That was not a HIP HOP (Higher Infinite Power Healing Our People) documentary. That was just a bunch of scared negroes clammering with a check in their hand....We all we got and we've got to do better.

Well honestly Tariq, I never even bothered to watch it. I automatically knew that it was gonna be a bunch of "rappers" and producers talking about how great HIP HOP used to be. I knew they weren't going to address the black community and its true issues because simply it was on vh1. And clearly all vh1 is about is EXPLOITING blacks. Fuck the music industry period right now. I haven't listened to any music in a month literally. FUCK EM.

Why the hell would you call that preacher a racist when all he's saying is that EACH PERSON SHOULD LOVE THEIR OWN RACE ENOUGH TO MARRY WITHIN THEIR OWN RACE, instead of trying to parasitically attach themselves to another race in an effort to get what they consider a "better deal". And the reason he brought up intelligence is because especially after the THOUSANDS of years of "strife" between Africans and Europeans, only a "sista" with the brain-power of a gnat and no self-respect would even want to date a white guy and even worse, have children with him and subject them to that life-long suffering of being caught between two worlds. How many multi-racials have complained about growing up "not white enough for the white folks and not black enough for the black folks", and yet we just keep producing more of them, forcing a white father upon them just because we foolishly think it will improve our social standing, and not giving a damn about what it will do to the psyche of the child. You can't blame the preacher for not wanting his race to become as haphazard and random as our race has become. He understands that his race's greatest power is its sense of self-worth, the special value that whites place on each other, and that he's going to have to rid his race of all the pathetic non-white hangers-on if he's going to keep his people from degenerating into the same sad weak state our race is in. To the headcases that will inevitably say "I DO love my black people, BUT...", do yourself a favor, more importantly do your CHILDREN a favor, stop lying to yourself and get your head on straight. Or maybe just pick a ledge and jump.

That preacher was full of it. I will never cosign a racist who is pushing a hidden agenda. When are black folks going to stop taking any leads from a white power structure that has NEVER had your interests in mind. Do you really think that he gives two hoots about black people? European countries are run 100% by white people and there are entire countries that are 100% white and jacked up: Greece, Russian, Ukraine and Kosovo to name a few. People point the finger at Africa all day but being 100% white is not saving these European countries either. Same with parts of India and China. Let's keep it real real. Go to Korea and Japan. Outside of the major cities, you end up in 3rd world conditions quickly.

Pastor Regan is not unique. One couple in my church, a white man married to a Filipino had a court house wedding because their pastor refused to marry a couple that he believed was "unevenly yoked." After they wed the entire congregation shunned them. It was one of the reason that I seriously questioned my faith.

Well... If you're talking about and promoting black economics, you're tacitly endorsing separatism too (like the pastor from the church). I don't have a problem with interracial couples, but soon you'll notice the "black" economics parts getting more lighter, culturally confused, and less effective.

Black economics is no different from Korean or Chinese economics. Those ethnics groups are model minorities in terms of integration. The ethno-centric economics means that they circulate money between family and friends and associates. Statistically, that will work out to be people in the same ethnic group, America being what it is, they get de-facto protection. White racists won't come against Koreans because they know the Koreans have economic strength here in the US and abroad. You go against one, you may need to answer to them all. America respects money and the power it can buy. Black people do not have that. We can't influence the political structure the way other ethnic groups can. If Chinese Americans got behind a single cause, you had better believe that cause will end up on the ballot and be signed into law. This is why gays have managed to make such quick progress, other than gays being mostly white, they focus on a single issue, like gay marriage and then they have a lot of money pouring into their causes. Black people in America are the only ones without that monetary base. Latino singers and musicians can make money 100% off the Latino community. Mark Anthony and Ricky Martin do not need a dime from the white community to remain prosperous. What black person can say this?

There's so much untapped, albeit aimless, Black spending power out here. Industries unique and fully embraced by our culture are music, fashion, and athletics; a potential goldmine of capital for modern black creative minds. Yes, racism is still out there. Ethnic groups you mentioned sell cultural goods/services to everyone, plus recent migrants hardly procreate outside their ethnicity (thus retaining ethnic identities). Latter generations of immigrants gradually acculturate, but even then their services are still globally unique and marketable.

True, those ethnic groups sell to everyone. Black people should of course sell to everyone. However, we need to get money circulating in our own communities as well. There are jews who ONLY see jewish doctors and jewish lawyers. Yet those jewish doctors and lawyers have gentile clients. There is nothing wrong in that. I will welcome any honest dollars but I would prefer to have a storefront in a black neighborhood where there is no risk of getting robbed by black goons. Nor will the hoodrat throw fisticuffs in said establishment. That is why we need a code, so that it is safe to be paid in black neighborhoods off of honest work. You would see white people flock to black neighborhoods to buy stuff. There is a population of white people who will go anywhere and buy anything if they are sure of their safety. However, that would be a net gain INTO the community instead of a net loss OUT of it. Tangentially, that is why I have ZERO problems with gentrification because it will wake black people up that you do not own much in this country besides weaves and footwear. When you own property and land, special legislation has to be made and compensation paid to force you off(eminent domain). Black people rep' hoods owned by the govt! Why cry over land you never owned?!? Projects and subsidized housing. That is temporary. Get some money, buy some property, act out the code and build stable points within the black consciousness.

@Td3 to your point about how immigrants tend not to intermarry. That may be the case in the Indian community but Chinese people intermarry at a rate of 50%. That community still manages to remain economically viable and powerful. Everyone is attracted to success. When black people, as fly as we are, get to a certain economic point, that blonde woman with 1/32 black heritage will claim to be black just to be close to that economic base. We don't need to have everyone on board, just enough of a core group to keep the ball rolling.

Farrakhaan? come on bro. this cat is the worst con-man he was instrumental in harming if not directly responsible with the death of Malcolm, I grew up in that Cult and they have not truly did anything for Blacks as a whole, but they collect much wealth from Black people, all while lying about their connection to Islam. Malcolm was one the most sincere leaders. Racism and anything resembling it as well as that Liberal and Conservative game. it's a money game out here Pop Culture is a trap. and this non-sense also keeps us busy. Get with some game Nigga... we knew these attitudes existed for a long time. Black people better wake up and be Muslims that will truly free that mind make em slaves to Allah
