Y tu abuela donde esta?
We need to stay on code....Let em know loud and clear.
Truth is power.good show.growing up in NYC from back in the 1970's, I saw this contradictory nonsense with a lot of them but let shit slide.fence sitters is exactly what most of them are.some know what time it is with white supremacy but most wish that they were down with them.I still see this crap now as a 48 year old black melanatef male.so you know what, let them handle their own shit and get a real taste of caucasian supremacy/ terrorism.whomever does not like what I wrote, handle it.
I agree that Hispanics need to get the hell out of our faces, but to answer your question of any Latinos that ever helped Melanoid ppl besides Fidel Castro was Hugo Chavez.
He helped Ayiti a great deal to the point where he is an icon there.
Yeah, I remember reading that Hugo Chavez helped out Haiti.
True, but that's also because after Haitians freed themselves, we went to emancipate Venezuela (and many others, mind you.) so they've always felt indebted.
But I give credit where it is due, however we look at the actions of the collective. I don't care how many Tim Wises and Jane Elliots we stumble across, white people (as an OVERWHELMING majority) are hateful and / or ignorant.
I've never had a personal problem with a latino/hispanic/mestizo or whatever they want to call themselves.
However, I used to live in an area that had enough of them to support an all-spanish news broadcast.
I noticed that the only crime reports that the "latinos" ran were the ones where the alleged perp was Black and the victim was latino. The crime was always on some dusty tip, like stealing a phone or something petty.
That same station never mentioned the many latino-on-latino crimes. Gang stuff. Domestic violence etc. You had to look at the police records for that information.
So we ain't in this together. Individually most of them are cool, but their leaders are real suspect. I am fine with them not supporting us.
Won't make a difference at the national level.
I know what you mean, they can be cool as hell. I think the thing is, in our faces they can be "down". They share (or appropriate) our culture, our fashion, our music, etc. So they can always hang with us, talk about discrimination, etc.
Among themselves though, they still make "negrito" jokes and forbid romantic relationships with our kind. Also, online they get reaaaalllly bold.
Look at any news article involving a black (victim or alleged criminal)... mostly in a region like Houston Texas or California, and you will see them come out in DROVES regarding their antiblackness.
Or let Mayweather beat the breaks off of Canelo or something (which he did) and see how they step out of that PoC umbrella REALLY quick!
I sure hope Tariq is right that blacks are stopping all of the caping and it isn't just his perception due to his own sampling.
I just feel empathy and caping is so embedded in our community that it'd be difficult to see a change in a short period of time.
More Latinos being shipped abroad simply means less potential white supremacists I have to deal with. And that isn't hateful, it's self preservation... I won't feel bad for not wanting to be killed or mistreated.
