I don't know about the Amara La Negra criticsm, tbh.

If anything, I see claiming one is Afro-Latino(a) as a way of acknowledging their African roots in spite of being Hispanic. That doesn't sound like cooning to me.

If anything, coons are those folks that say shit like: "I'm not black I'm Cuban/Puerto Rican/Brazilian/etc." They do not identify as Afro-anything!

Yeah, I agree that the Amara La Negra criticism was a step too far. Everybody has a gimmick but I really think she is genuine. She used to be on a Spanish-language show. I never saw her doing anything sellout-ish. Zoey Saldana and Rosario Dawson are better examples of sellouts. Samy Sosa is the perfect example. Being rich in his own country was not enough for Sosa.

Afro-Latinos are funny as hell to me. They are just Blacks who speak Spanish. You never hear of Afro-Anglo or Afro-Franco. The Afro-Latinos are third-class citizens in their own countries. They can't go to Spain and claim anything. They are definitely on some thing else.

Have you seen the picture of Zoe Saldana and her sisters with their identical white boyfriends?

It screams self-hatred. Nothing wrong with IR, but when all 3 are bedwenching it raises questions.

This is the reason negus need to stop pretending we can F*CK our way out of racism. You'll only create a buffer class of coons like Mulattoes, Dominicans, etc.

And yea, good point, I've never heard of Afro-anything else. Besides American of course, but we never chose that title.

Yeah, I saw the picture of Zoey Saldana and her sisters. I don't get hyped up over the interracial dating that much. Like that other former host on IZM radio, Kris, sometimes people date what is closest to them due to geography.

Black people intermarry each other at rate greater than 90%. That figure is extraordinary considering how we are taught to hate each other. Interracial marriage is really rare.

I was more offended that Zoey won't claim Black but was happy to claim that check to play Black Nina Simone. Smh.

I actually don't argue with Black women who say that other races are better. I just watch them get that wake up call.
Brothers who sweat white girls are just setting themselves up.They make themselves targets, with no upside.

I think Tariq is bias as hell. Maybe he had bad experiences but now shaming all black people with spanish or French last names is some personal anger garbage He does it with Africans as well as mocking them. Yes there are black communities in latin america who are black and proud, and many who are not just like black americans!. Trust me many black americans go to the Carribean and Africa as "American blacks" sometimes acting like they are "too american"! If u see that and then watch BET and worldstar u will think all black americans are ignorant! I like Tariqs work and i inderstand where hes coming from but sometimes i got to fall back because his ego and emotions just like Umar. As far as Amara she is a cute cornball trying to shine she might sellout like Kanye or maybe she might not, i dont allow T.V celebs to give me my perception of a whole group. My family are creole speaking blacks from Louisiana and we still speak it and have a cultural connection to Africa, Haiti, and Cuba in our traditions. Some of the most "African" traditions (outside Africa) are in latin america/Carribean, and the most militant blacks are in the Carribean and the U.S. Just like he said we dont need everybody to unite just a few hundred from different countries

@Wisdom and game

Much respect family. I agree that Tariq takes it to the extreme with some of his criticism. However, Black people in America are so docile that you have to scream at the top of your lungs for them to get the point. Of course there are deep African traditions in Black communities in the Caribbean and Latin America. I've been to both regions. But you can't ignore how many in those communities are brainwashed too. Some of the them can't wait to bend over for a European.

I think were the anger comes from is, how are you oppressed when you are the MAJORITY in your OWN country? That is what I don't get about Blacks in the CAribbean and Africa. Europeans and Americans own all of their resources. At least Blacks in America are a legit minority. Africans get dominated in their own countries where they are the majority and then look down on Black Americans. It is just wild.

When I got my first full-time job, the Africans, specifically the African women, were on some real bedwenching. The African males were okay because they recognized and respected when you had knowledge. The African females were something else. Now, I am smart enough to separate people out and just kick it with the real ones.

I have been to Europe too. Some of the most pro-Black people I have ever met in my life were the Black people and mixed people in western Europe. They were not confused about the system. Some of the women were real riders.

Tariq is not a Black leader, per se. You can take some of what he says and ignore the rest. I don't agree with anyone 100% But I am in sync with not getting dominated by a w.s.

Peace family

Hello Tariq,
I came across a young lady, April Preyar, an young attorney who is trying to teach and establish Black folks with a code. That is, the code in which you often reference. The problem is, the backlash that she's received for doing a solid, is unbelievable. I would love for you to collaborate with her, and have her on your show if possible. I believe that she can be found on Facebook at JustUs Junky.
Thank you,
