Wooo! Just got back from &am movie here in Memphis. That movie got me fired up like the Hidden Colors series, Dr. Claud Anderson dropped jewel after jewel! Though a drunk brother jumping up in the Q&A was embarrassing, maybe another agent... For the record, Mr. Black, there was more than 8 in the theater. lol (about 50-70 for real). I am ready to buy about twenty of those DVDs! Hurry up and release them - I want to buy with money order though... Congratulations on a job very well done.

Somewhat disturbing that Tariq uses Twitter as his research source for the State of the Union address and Chris Kyle. Is it that difficult to read the transcript of Obama's speech, or has that been tainted by the dominant society, too?

Let's hope Hidden Colors doesn't source all of its information from Twitter and other "social media".

Peace

Lee Daniels was suspect after I saw Monster's Ball. And I'm not speaking on dude's orientation. It was inconceivable that Halle Berry got an Oscar just for bending over for a white man. I watched Monster's Ball in its entirety, waiting to see that Oscar winning performance. If Halle hadn't dropped her panties for that white corrections officer, she never would have gotten that token Oscar. Just pathetic. Sharon Stone should have gotten an Oscar for Basic Instinct if that is the case. It is fitting Halle got with a white guy she pays 17K a month in child support after he called her racial slurs. That is how white supremacy works. Maybe Billy Bob can make her feel good?

Then Daniels did Precious. And then the Butler. And now this Empire garbage. I don't even try to compartment black shows financed by white supremacists. Shows with large black casts focus on black pathology like sex and violence. I hate the Wire now. I never liked Oz. Those housewife shows are a joke. How are you going to have a black wife show when most if not all of the black women on the show are even married, just baby mommas?
Holler at me when a show is black financed, black directed and black produced. And sellouts like Oprah do not count.

As for homophobia in the black community, that is insane. Most of the rappers and r&b singers act moist as hell. Jumping around on stage with a bunch of dudes with no shirts on. Boondocks called out that moisture years ago. Every time I turn on ESPN, some grown male athlete in the NBA and the NFL is crying or getting emotional over something. Go to any large black church and you don't even have to guess at the gay population. Black women love gay men more than any other group out there. And most importantly, black people have never, ever, systematically discriminated against gays. Old white men were the ones keeping gays from getting married, etc. The CDC still has a ban on gay men donating blood. Since when did black people run the CDC?!? All that semen that Lee Daniels has been taking up the backside is leaking into his brains. A pox on all of these sellouts. There is a sustained campaign to feminize black men so this nonsense about homophobia in the black community is a lie.

We are in an emergency situation. The black people who get checks from the white entertainment industry(sports, music and movies) are all suspect until proven otherwise. The most lost black people I have ever met were the ones in the entertainment industry or the ones trying to break in. KRS-One said something similar when he was working A&R. As long as they get a pat on the head, they can justify anything white people do to them.

Oh and I agree on the whole caping for other ethnic groups. Black people are on our own. I will support others when black people stand independently. Until then. I don't give a care.

I think the black community is homophobic in comparison to other races.

I'm not even saying that's a bad thing though... We do not have to power to systematically disenfranchise others. But we are overwhelmingly religious... and while we all know there are a lot of flamers in the churches, we STILL see it as a sin.

We DO NOT have a bunch of black girls that can't help but start making out with each other anytime their in a group or for attention (like whites).

Brothas on average aren't into gay shit, while white guys tolerate that stuff a whole lot more. (See shows like Jackass).

Even Tariq mentioned in one of the old shows blacks from the Caribbean are especially anti-gay because of all of the "buck-breaking" that went on during slavery. Remember?

And like I said. I don't see it as a bad thing really:

Modern day white liberals are doing everything in their power to blur gender lines, gender roles, etc... If we leave it up to them, in 10 years all public restrooms will be Unisex. And clothing companies will no longer specify gender. -_-

At the very least these "homophobic" blacks value some sort of order.

The aversion to gays comes more so from the fact that black people in America have never had a stable family core. We never had a solid middle class of families that stretched across America and could pass genetic and material wealth onto its offspring. Black folk have these small enclaves that get wiped out easily.

White, Asian etc people LOVE to talk about their family heritage and ancestors and rising in to the middle class. How do you build up that pride when you have a bunch of gays in your family tree? How do you connect to someone who passed on no genes to you?
Since arriving in the USA, black people have been under siege or under an onslaught. All that to say, biologically, gay marriage is a genetic and communal dead end. There is no transfer of genetic wealth from both parents to the offspring. And the bond between two biological parents is very different from the bonds between two adopters of kids. White people can experiment with alternative lifestyles because they have accumulated enough equity to risk. I found it weird that Jason Collins, Michael Sam(where is he now) and that black kid from UMass Amherst somehow became the face of gays in sports. Then once they get used by the white gay movement, they get discarded. Forming alliances amongst family lines requires some genetic connection. Black people are fragmented as is. How do we coalesce with all of these alternative lifestyles and families?

The point is that black people as a group are so weak, the beggar class of America, that we can be used as the experimental lab for social issues. White gays coopted the language of the BLACK CIVIL RIGHTS movement to push for WHITE MALE gay rights. That is a hustle. I think that is where that hostility and suspicion comes from. Gays got more support and rights in 20 years than blacks have in over 400 of bleeding and dying. Damn right I'm hostile.

Contrary to TV propaganda, gays and I have a different agenda. Part of my code is associating only with black people who are mature, looking to form families and incorporate those families into larger communities that can support an ECONOMIC BASE at a generational level. A man with a WIFE and children thinks differently about money and his LEGACY. We got jack to show for "playing house", "ghetto love" and all of that other junk. Black people have and will have jack to show for aligning and supporting the gay movement.

I was going to make a reply but you've covered pretty much everything. I will say that when I was coming up, no one messed with the gays in the neighborhood because they would eff you up. lol They could fight and would do so at the drop of a dime.
Also, not only are unarmed Black children being killed for no reason. But they are shooting them in the back! That's a clear mark of a coward; and this is based on old western flicks and what not. So I can't figure out the message here. I know there is one though. lastly, Tariq is right. This can't last for long. They've only been on the planet a short time compared to how long melanated people have been here. They are in their collective death throws.

"Birth of a Nation" was the first film every screened at the White House, by President Woodrow Wilson in 1915. And yeah...we're moving backwards, back to that period in this country with Black men being executed in the street.

Off Topic (but I just wanted to share with my brothers and sisters) -

Recently I visited the Eastern State Penitentiary Museum in the heart of downtown Philadelphia . On my visit I was caught off guard by this big 3 dimensional graph displayed in the middle of a former prison yard. It blew my mind. Even the white tourist were quiet and seem shocked at the stats.

Although I already am aware of the mass incarceration problem in this country, I didn't know it is THAT bad! It's terrible! If you happen to be in the Philly area check out the museum.

If you are not able to visit Philly in person, take a look at my link below (you have to download it to high resolution) and zoom in and look at the dates! It's a graph about how the prison population has super exploded in the last few years. Every black person needs to see this!

I hope that black people in this country are finally opening their eyes to the puppet that is Barack Obama. What has he done for that black community exactly? I see the puppet....where are the puppeteers?

ONE guess... remember in the second Prof Griff interview, Prof Griff said "We got to see who his mother IS..."
I wonder if Tariq is gonna apologize for everything he said about Cornel West and Tavis Smiley:
Episode #137-"Hilary and Obama" I remember being mad at Cornel West and Tavis Smiley myself cause of that show, and the Reverend Wright one

For the BLACK COMMUNITY, nothing really. I think he reduced the racist sentencing on crack charges right?

However I think he's been great for (white) America as a whole... Though they don't appreciate it. For what it's worth black people can benefit from these gifts to the dominant society as well. Let's see if he makes community colleges free, many of us who couldn't afford an education can go to school.

The President did mention the issue of police brutality. He stated how someone could image how a mother fears her son being harassed by a police as well as police being able to come safely home too. He asked for a reform in the criminal justice system.

"mention"
"stated"
"asked"

None of those words mean anything. If Obama put out executive orders or did mass pardons of non-violent blacks in the federal prison system then ok, that is a start.

Black people have absolute jack to show for mentions, statements and asks. Black people are a beggar class in America. I don't blame Obama per se because we will still be in the same level after he leaves office. THen who will black folk bitch at then? Hillary? Bush III?All hat, no cattle.

As evidenced by recent news, there is a group out there that speaks and then acts. THAT group people take deadly seriously.

Yup. That group LITERALLY comes for your neck. Yet do you notice that in America, white supremacists somehow don't come at them head on? Usually they get hassled at airports and get certain permits denied but that about it. Hmmmmm. Gee I wonder why.

"White supremacy is going to fall off!!!"

That's the type of thinking I like to hear!

I think White Supremacy is the 2nd most powerful, self-sustaining system ever created (religion being the 1st). However, history shows us that every empire that became to big for itself became impossible to sustain... That's actually simple Physics.

The cost for white supremacy is becoming increasingly more expensive. And while it's power lies in its subtlety and the ignorance of the oppressed... White supremacy is becoming less and less subtle, and many of the ignorant are finally waking up! (Save a few coons).

Another point Tariq made that I like is that we MUST stop bending over backwards for every other group! I think subconsciously black people think that standing up for others will make them like us eventually, but that is not true... they'll take advantage of you and throw you to the curb like last night's dinner.

Hell, WE were the ones getting fire-hosed and attacked with batons and German Shepards while these other LAZY-ass minorities sat and watched only to reap all of the benefits later. While still despising us. So I say NO MORE! If it isn't a black cause I don't wanna know. (Although I'll fight for the disabled as they aren't able to advocate for themselves).

*******************************************************************************
I must disagree with your point on white Churches hating gays...

They are becoming increasingly more accepting of gays. Perhaps the older folks still look down on it, but young whites are becoming more and ,more liberal! They are opening gay churches and white churches are even marching in gay pride parades to try to build a bridge with the gay community.

As we are becoming more and more secular of a society, Christianity is being associated with ridicule and young Christians are attempting to stick with their faith while still adapting liberal ideals (gay marriage, abortion, etc.) as to feel accepted.

They want to contrast themselves with the loud minority of the Westboro Baptist Church!

But oddly enough, gays are being more accepting by the dominant society over whites. When was the last time a white church apologized to blacks over the way they treated us?

Whites now associate gays with higher social status (it's cool to have a trendy gay friend at a party) and gay people actually raise the property value in neighborhoods, while blacks lower it. :-(

When you say gay you have to qualify that with the white gay.
It is easy for a white gay to raise the property value in a neighborhood. He has two white parents that accord him a certain amount of privilege and access to wealth. I mean, look at how many gays are in the entertainment industry. That being white trumps being gay. So color me unimpressed by their ability to raise property values.

Personally, I find LGBT fascinating as long as they are not hitting on me, but I haven't seen African Americans hate criming gays like Caucasians.
