I wouldn't say embarrassed, I think Tariq just likes to be mysterious. He even said to be a mystery when talking to women in his mackin' books.

The less his listeners know about him the better... He probably feels giving us too many mundane details would make him seem average Joe-ish.

Although, I think I have a good idea about how old he is by putting two and two together.

I give a really big hint. If you listen to his old, old podcasts, his email address most likely has his birth year...

@Phaddi Snaxx

Lol... That's what I was hinting at too.

[email protected] so I'm guessing 1977, that would make him 38 yrs old.

But Google says he is 41 yrs old, so I'm a bit confused...

@YaYo Dude just explained that black people are caught up in trivia. No sense in going into your age when your key message is about survival. Yeah, I know he announced his birthday but black people being where we are, next you'll have grown black men calling up asking him his favorite movie and whether he likes buttercups. Black people need those blinders like they put on horses.

I almost gave up the ghost when the banjos came on. sellouts are partially why slavery lasted so long. You can't rebel with a sellout in your midst, trading your plan for freedom for a dress or a biscuit.

That's the thing in America. People only respect money and power. Anything else is a joke. Last year, Gary Oldman who played Gordon in the Batman trilogy said racist things about blacks and antisemitic stuff about Jews. The next day he apologized ONLY to the Jews. We talk too much and act too little.

That was a really good show. Black people being outmaneuvered at every turn. Anyone still sleeping should be treated as comatose.

This latino thing with trump really shows how far black people have to go. The speed and effectiveness of their reaction was truly impressive, and Tariq pointed out a huge aspect of it, that being their historical unity as a group of people.

Its going to be a monumental task for blacks to develop the cohesiveness that other groups like latinos have, a cohesiveness that has developed over hundreds and thousands of years.

It sorta makes me wonder if the vitriol and hatred towards black folks is the result of the supremacists no longer having the ability to shit all over minority groups of all kinds. Back in the day the good ole boys could be grimy as hell to everyone equally, black, gays, latinos. asians, etc. Now that these other groups have gotten their money and clout up, catch the WS talkin greasy about any of the rest of them and it doesn't fly like it used to, case in point the Trump fiasco. If anything, this is definitely proof that what Tariq has been preaching about an economic base is by far the most important thing, and really the only important objective at this point. As long as you guys remain the only vulnerable group left, they're gonna continue to pick on you by default.

I'm not black or white, but i really hope you guys get it together. It really sucks seeing a group of our human brothers and sisters making no progress and still being vulnerable to the hatred of the WS group.

These church burnings are really worrisome, its a sign of how close to boiling over things are.

Compare the reaction of the Latinos to the reaction of the black community towards the mike brown situation.

Trump SPOKE hate towards the Mexicans and the entire Latino community turnt up, from Jose the gardener to Roselyn Sanchez the actress to Ricky Martin the pop star to Carlos slim the billionaire mogul.

Mike brown got MURDERED

In ferguson, you had the people on the ground doing work and some celebs saying stuff on social media, but that was it.

Where was the Oprah or the Michael Jordan stepping up like Carlos slim?

Or how about the entertainment characters, the Rams players did that lil hands up don't shoot thing before the game and then went on business as usual.

Completely Depending on the rich and famous is definitely a mistake, but just as Tariq was talking about a "trickle down" movement with this trump thing, there also needs to be a "trickle up" going on to get anything real done.

It starts from the people and works its way up. Black celebrities need to use their platforms like Roselyn Sanchez did or there's no chance. The Rams could've shut the whole thing down if they refused to play; just 1 lost game in the NFL is a loss of millions of dollars.

Imagine an NFL team playing with no black players. The WHITE players on the Rams would've joined the movement just to prevent themselves from getting murked by the other NFL teams

That wouldn't have accomplished shyt, just got other players to fill in. F having black athletes, we need black team OWNERS. Plain and simple,it all comes down to $$ & economy, which we have niether. A few tokens (Oprah,Jordan,Lebron,Jay Z,ect) won't change shyt. Speaking of Jay Z, did you know he employs MOSTLY whites in all his business endeavors? Check out Prince Solomons youtube vid from a few weeks ago on Jay Z,it's fu#kin embarrassing.

Vince K.:

I have watched Prince Solomon*s video about Jay and Tidal. Harvey (mrsuperboy) on YouTube also has a video about this issue. It is an embarrassment. Both of them tell it like it is about Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

Great show. I always listen to the shows with my older teens kids. I could tell that my oldest son was really listening to the bar situation. I've been always up front about racism with my kids but now with them being older it's time to break down the system. The bar situation was a perfect teaching moment.

I kinda have to disagree with Tariq on this one, sorry.

While I agree with this brother's message, he has a tendency to over-idealize other races. I want to make the argument that they aren't THAT special.

They had a Mexican billionaire who retaliated against Trump as well and not one of their public figures turned on them.

Hell, even Jay Z didn't drop Barney's after their racist controversy and Tariq actually CONDEMNED him, so with all due respect he needs to make up his mind.

Black people are the first to boycott a business and express outrage, the only difference is we have a SHITLOAD of coons who want to be in the spotlight... So I agree with brother Nasheed on this point.

Keep in mind though there are JUST as many coons in the Hispanic & Asian communities. They let white people get away with a LOT of slick shit for the same reason blacks do (they think they can coon their way to acceptance).

Abercrombie made an anti-Asian shirt in the early 2000's, Asians didn't do anything except for boycott and protest (like blacks do). So take them off of the pedestal.

The same thing that happened to Trump happened to Paula Deen when she said racist things. That is because no one wanted to be associated with her... it would be bad for business; Trump is no different. The Hispanic community aren't just naturally smarter or more adhesive than blacks. They did the same methods they learned from US, they just have no famous sell-outs like we do.

P.S.

In the 50's/60's other races were getting treated like crap too. While they bent over, lubed up and just took it BLACKS were fighting and they were watching.

We blacks changed shit while the other races/ groups sat scared in the sidelines. So stop pretending they handle things like this better than blacks do because I am not buying it.

I agree with mr jon on his noting that other groups have and still have their share of sellout, sambos and coons. Their so called outrage is ok to a certain extent, but overall a whole lot of hispanic/latin/spanish speaking people did just wait in the background back in the day and watch as our elders took the brunt of these wicked deceitful euro/caucasian/white beasts. Unfortunately, most of our people are too damn forgiving to people who screw us around. Not me,though. Inevitably, karma will kick in and the payback will harsh for those who have caused detriment to us who are african/black/melanoid people who truly are aware of what has happened to us a people. Remember, i don't forgive.

@dc1969

I feel you on that my brother or sister. We forgive and get kicked in the teeth every time. As far as coons go, I believe most of them are CIA paid shills and spies and people can tin foil hat all they want but I believe it to be true.

I feel you. I'm married to an east indian family, and they have the exact same issues as us, in terms of the youth forgetting where they come from, cooning, etc. Thing is, it doesn't effect them in the same way due to their: historical knowledge of themselves and their overall roots to their culture. They are still ahead in the game due to those facts.

I concur that the other races aren't that smart overall. The challenge with blacks is that we have been under nonstop assault from the beginning that we are exhausted on many fronts. The other races have less work to do so they look like they are doing better. I mean, to be realistic, I know ethnic Indians and ethnic Chinese who you could not pay enough to live in their home countries. So if a country run by Indians and Chinese ain't worth jack to their own citizens then draw your own conclusions.

My coworker from India told us a horror story of going back to India to take his father to a local hospital. The disgust in his voice was palpable.

The challenge black people have is that the onslaught we are under produces too many sellouts, by design. We don't have a core group of lean and mean intelligent blacks to act as the vanguard. Even the threat of extinction does not scare us. I watched that video of that SC church shooter's black "friend" and was amazed at how brainwashed that kid was. The programming of our people runs deep. So let's say the other races are not that smart but they are damn near geniuses when it comes to running US.
I am amazed at black people buying garbage Chinese food sold from behind a bullet proof glass.

I am amazed at black people buying enough weave to put Koreans through college.

I am amazed at black people complaining about service from black businesses but letting white people stone cold humiliate them in stores.

So as it relates to other races knowing how to manage us and keep us in check, that is a reality we have to face. Otherwise, we will never confront it. They don't have to be rocket scientists. They just have to be rocket scientists relative to us.

The fact that black people changed so much for other minorities through our struggles means jack if we can't get the benefits for ourselves now. 50s and 60s history ain't cutting it for us in 2015.

Tariq wants to go back and talk "Game". Why doesn't he just groom an apprentice or two? Interns will work for free. People are so desperate, they'll even sign a 8 year contract not to compete with him if he is worried about competition.
