I agree that the Black Lives Matter group dropped the ball when talking to Hilary Clinton. But I'm not surprised because I believe BLM are what is called "controlled opposition" - meaning they're there to pretend they're a group against the status-quo, when in reality they are controlled by the them. George Soros funding them is evidence of that.

Tim Wise does not have to do anything about racism. It's not his issue nor his experience. Nor any other Caucasian European. Black folks need to stop focusing on destroying racism and focus on creating a sustainable environment that can be passed down to the next generation with ano emphasis on maintaining our cultural heritage and image. You will never change what's in a person's heart but you can adjust their attitude and how they treat you. This means action by black men in the streets and not in Congress or some courtroom.

If Tim Wise doesn't have to do anything about racism, then Tim Wise should stop talking about it. You only talk about a problem if you're willing to WORK towards a solution. And Caucasian Europeans benefit off the system of racism everyday, so its an issue and experience that they benefit from in all areas of people activity. Your claim that its not his issue or experience contradicts what the man himself talks about, as he makes it clear how much the system of racism IS an issue that he talks about and he gives a lot of personal examples - ie experiences. I'm not begging white people to change their ways, because majority of them won't, but if a white person is claiming to speak out against racism, then that white person better be willing to take action as well, otherwise I don't care what that white person has to say. That was my overall point, not begging or whining.

And my overall point, from a black folk perspective, not a general perspective, is it is not Tim Wise'so issue to do anything about it. Now if he chooses to, then so be it. And he is, in an academic and intellectual manner. That's always the first battle, the psyche-spirit, before you get to the physical confrontation. And the majority of white folk does not care what freaking color you are, the system just provides them a better leg up than you, and their subconsciously comfortable with that. So one man such as Tim Wise will never be able to change that mindset during one lifetime. Hell, you don'the think some right-wing group has threatened his life by now? And most of us have become comfortable being underdogs. Again, from our perspective, let's focus on the man in the mirror.

That last guy was on to something and Tariq missed the opportunity to let him finish spittin. Not sure why. What he was saying was that a unified black voting block, which is in essence a unified black voice, is what we need in order to get all of these politicians to take us seriously. Sure, if one of us has the ability to speak to Hillary Clinton and we say all of the things that Tariq told us to say, that would make for a good story. But Hillary wouldn't give a fuck, and why should she? It's just one person. As Tariq eluded to early on in the show, when it comes to politicians nothing matters but the money. You won't get shit if you are not bringing money or the threat of them losing a ton of money behind it. I said this in the comments on the previous show....black folks are not the enemy of the dominant society. Why? Because we have no power, no unity and no ability to force the powers that be to do our bidding. It's easier said than done of course but until it happens we can expect more of the same from the government and politicians.

Yep. I just watched the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eCraUvIq-s and it looked like children (BLM) being scolded by their mother. Fund raising and strategic ballot initiatives is what creates progress on capital hill. All else is spectacle.

100% agreed. These politicians know that only money and power matter. I keep telling black people that discussion on race with white people is a complete waste of time. Bring some combination of soft power(money) or hard power(weapons) to the table. Otherwise, keep your mouth shut.

Tariq makes a good point about how the BLM people had the opportunity to tell Hillary what they wanted, about having funds to create more black businesses in black communities especially in NYC, we needed funds for buying land and protecting for land, funds for community centers instead of funds for jails, funds for summer school programs, youth employment programs, funds for black schools, talk to government about our hidden history and heritage, and last but not least finding solutions to end mass incarceration because we have enough of our people in prison especially for low-level offenses and people who are innocent people.

What you said, brother damian,is very true. Especially about new york city. I was born and raised in nyc and still reside here. I can remember in the 1970's and even early eighties when there still a feasible amount of black owned businesses that i could patronize as a youngster and teen. Then other groups came and bought these businesses out or imminent domain stole these businesses away from the people who had them. The way i see it as a 46 year old african/black/melanoid man, integration by far was the main thing that fucked us up,besides white supremacy. We just gotta really get our footing back and return back to having our own economic and also military base intact.

Allow me to clarify: Tim Wise is witnessing white supremacy, he isn't experiencing it. He has come into a realization that it exists and he is attempting to get other white folks to realize it to. But action can only come from the experiencer. A closed mouth does not get fed.

That is incorrect. If that is the case, there is no need for laws and courts, because it would be up to the 'experiencers' to get justice for crimes committed against them. Saying Tim Wise doesn't have to take action, because he doesn't experience racism personally is a copout. When you see injustice, a person whom claims to care should act on stopping it, rather it is happening to them personally or not. Most men will never know what's it's like to be raped like a woman is raped, that doesn't mean a man shouldn't act when he witnesses it personally for the sake of that woman, IF he openly claims to care about women getting raped. How would it look if a man who witnessed a rape told the cop on the scene "Well, I'm not a woman so I feel I didn't need to stop the guy. The Woman should have found a way to stop him, because only woman can stop a rapist." Tim Wise doesn't accomplish anything by talking about racism, except gain a bunch of mindless black followers whom are just happy a white man is talking like a civil rights leader. Sorry, but it takes more than that to impress me. I don't seek white approval, I only pay attention to a persons actions.

Snice we're bringing up rape...lol. I guess the rebels of the American Revolution required help from British citizens who were no affected by the Trade and Sedition acts. I guess it was up to White Australians to stop the extinction of Tasmanian to the point where when I was a child, we were taught the island was uninhabited when the British arrived. I guess the Allies of WW2 waited on Germans to turn against Hitler. And let's talk Civil War shall we. There were thousands of white abolitionists who possessed blue blood political power, but did nothing until it was time to change the American economy from agricultural to industrial. Stop focusing on Tim Wise and his responsibility and focus on getting off your azz typing in this comment section and put your money and action where your mouth and fingers are. Typical American negro whining about what white pepole need to do. Sounds like a candidate for Executive Director of Black Lives Matter to me.

Meh. I live in Asia. Trust me, Asians are not scaring the shit out of black people nor are they trying to. Plenty of them see the hypocrisy of white people. Plus when you factor in the hundreds of men who admit to coming over here to fuck Asian women, the men here aren't gonna put up with that shit. They deal with white people when it benefits them and that's it. They don't like you and they think your culture is toxic to the harmony of society. Also, Friends? Really? You're trying to intimidate black people by mentioning a TV show was popular in China.....yeah I can already tell that you're a pussy in real life just based off that comment!
